Phang Nga, translated from Thai literally means jungle, which gives you a great idea as to what to expect from the areas golf courses
Phang Nga is not only the perfect location to take a fishing holiday, it is also up there as far as golfing holidays go as well with 3 quality golf courses in the province and a lot more in adjoining areas such as Krabi and Phuket there is no shortage of courses to enjoy. Below is a brief description of the three nearest courses

Katathong Spa and Golf Resort.

Set between three mountains, Khao Tao, the tallest of the three, Khao Nang Hong and Phag Nga the course is positioned in a prime area of the region, offering stunning views. The Course is built upon the remains of a centuries old tin mine, with records suggesting that the tin mine was in operation a far back as the 15th century. Owner Somkiat Ratanarungsiwat has ensured that his families heritage has been preserved with the design of the course.
The course is spectacular with narrow fairways, well positioned white sand bunkers and a natural reservoir providing a stern test, but the beauty and tranquillity of the course comes from the many natural waterways and waterfalls that provide a wonderful background sound.
An exciting and interesting Par 3 course completes the golf offering.

Tublamu Navy Golf Course.

There are a fair number of courses in Thailand developed by government, Army or Navy senior officers. Tublamu is one such course in Phang Nga province. Originally a 9-hole course, Tublamu was only opened to the public in the early 2000’s with the extension of the course to 18 holes.
Set along the Andaman Sea the course is linked in style with sea-breezes often hampering play.
The course is well laid out and challenging enough for any level of golfer. Tublamu being an older course is maybe not to the same international standards as many courses in Thailand, but it’s in a great setting and is a nice public course to have a round or two on.

Kirinara Golf Course

Is a 9-hole course set amongst more stunning scenery made up of rivers, streams and mountains A small river runs through the course offering an interesting feature and creating a serene setting. The 9 holes are quite varied in length and difficulty hence offering up something new every hole.
Golfers of any level will find the course entertaining and challenging due to the undulating terrain, with many of the holes on hillside slopes which makes for some very difficult lies. Kirinara’s upkeep and ground keeping is second to none making the course a must visit .
