Beaches

There are so many beaches to visit in Phang Nga and it’s adjacent provinces of Krabi and Phuket that it would be impossible to list them all here.

Some of these beaches are amongst Thailand’s and indeed the world’s most famous, which need little introduction; such as Phi Phi, Rayleigh, Patong, Maya etc others are thankfully as yet undeveloped and virtually unexplored and still left to nature.

Below are a few examples of the less known beaches that are within the province of Phang Nga and Khao Lak and just a short drive from Exotic Fishing Thailand.

White Sand Beach

White Sand Beach is a long strip of white soft sand located between Pakarang Cape and Pak Weep Beach, some 45 minutes drive from Exotic Fishing Thailand.

Some of our guests choose this destination as the “beach” part of their longer Thai holiday as it’s more peaceful than Phuket and less crowded, but still has some very nice hotels along its length.

White Sand Beach is as it’s name depicts is a stunning white beach that completely satisfies the need for that tropical beach holiday in unspoilt tropical surroundings: The turquoise and emerald green seas, the powdery soft white sand against a backdrop of tropical jungle that fringes the beach makes for an extremely serene atmosphere, that anyone could spend days in relaxing.

Pak Weep Beach

Pakweep Beach is another beautiful clean beach with very few people on it, making it very different from the beaches of Phuket which nowadays are often overcrowded and well somewhat spoiled.

If you want to be alone on a beach then this may be the place for you, as often there is little too knowone on the beach due to the fact there are only smaller resorts and guest houses along this stretch of coastline. Facilities are limited, but there are still a few restaurants and bars for refreshments.

Coconut Beach

Considered by some to be the best beach in the Khao Lak area. This beach again is not built up with resorts, just a few restaurants, bars and massage places directly on the sand, which makes for a tranquil spot.

The sand is fine and white. The water is shallow and clear. You can rent sun loungers or you can make your way further along the beach towards pristine white sands with forest behind, no vendors and heaps of shade from trees.

Many will take lunch at “The Boatyard”. It is possible to walk all the way to White Sands Beach from here, but that is dependent on tides.

Bangsak Beach

You can walk for miles along this beach once again with soft white sand between your toes.

There are little local cafes and massage huts dotted along this Long Beach ensuring that you can take your time strolling and enjoy the view.

We recommend late afternoon and sunset for a long walk. The sunsets from this west facing beach are out of this world and definitely not to be missed. A quiet beach with no commercial boat operations ensures a serene day here.

Laem Haad Beach

Laem Haad is a sandy spit pointing towards Koh Ya Noi.

As a beach it has a transient number of patrons as its often used as a drop off point on various boat tours as its wonderful spot for photography.

This area is an interesting place to spend a day if you like photography but also to simply watch the comings and goings of seafaring tourists. It is then also a pick up point for onward trips out to the various Islands nearby.

Other Places

Within easy reach, other famous destinations include Maya Beach, Rayleigh Beach, Phi Phi to name but a few.

So whether it’s day tripping out to these amazing beaches or simply bolting on a full blown tropical beach holiday before or after your fishing session, here at EFT we can arrange this all for you, or simply collect you or drop you off to your onward destination before or after your EFT fishing experience.
